Barbara began her artistic career as a classical dancer and was fortunate to work with the late Robert Joffrey. Years in class practicing before the unforgiving studio mirror gave her understanding of the human form, and performing gave her passion for capturing movement.
After receiving degrees from the University of Wisconsin, University of Texas law school and New York University, Barbara worked as an international attorney and traveled extensively. But ultimately her love of art beckoned and she now exhibits and sells her art extensively throughout the country. She is an invited member and board director of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, and the National Arts Club in New York City.
Barbara has found inspiration from Patti Smith and shares her hope that her art, her “little pictures”, give someone a moment of serenity.
