JASMINE SCHOFILL NUSS
Fort Lauderdale, FL
As far as I can remember, I was drawn by beauty; such fascination led me to choose a career as a beautician. Upon graduation from a Parisian aesthetic school, I opened my beauty salon.
JSNLike every artists my eyes were wide open to my surrounding, to colors, forms, details of everyday life. A trip to Africa, gave a kick start to my career as an artist. I started sketching faces, painting human expressions. Such brush strokes invited me to attempt the exploration of the abstract world.
I moved to Florida early 2000’s. Such new life transformed my painting style. My Art has been featured in various galleries in Florida. I received several awards, from renowned institutions like Broward art Guild, Broward Art Serve or ARLAC (African American Cultural center).
Being an artist is not only putting colors on a canvas. It is working with your heart. Sensitivity is the key. A key I also used when publishing my last poetry book: “meandres d’une vie agitee”. It is one treasures of my sensitive soul.
