I was born and raised in Haiti but made the US my residence since 1964. Because I am self-taught; my art does not follow any particular school or style, it just flows from my heart. It reflects life and calls the viewer to thoughtful reflection, hopefully making a positive impact. My art is full of symbolism and bridges the gap between the Haitian on the island and the Haitian Diaspora. It is, at first glance, simple but upon careful examination its complexity reveals itself. I believe that once my artwork is signed, it no longer belongs to me; it belongs to the world and each person takes a piece of it with them when they set eyes on it.
