CONNIE ROBAYO
Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Connie Robayo was born and raised in Colombia, South America, where she attended college, graduating as an Interior Designer. Working in Interior Design allowed Connie to continue to polish her natural artistic talent. She developed a passion for art history and a growing interest in a variety of artistic techniques.
Through her study of the world’s greatest artists, Connie expanded her own range by working with pastels, oils, acrylics and water colors. Fascinated by the endless possibilities in form and substance, she continued to perfect her own skills and discovered a new avenue of expression through the ancient technique of Batik.
In 1998, she moved to the United States and ventured on to a world wide tour to explore different and exotic cultures. Through her travels, Ms. Robayo developed her love and deep appreciation for the beautifully colored Batik garments, found in the Orient and neighboring cultures.
As this global adventure unfolded, Connie continued to grow as an artist, increasing her appreciation for the natural beauty found in nature. During her travels, she benefited from exposure to art and culture worldwide and the cultural richness captured in many international mediums.
Whether on a piece of paper, canvas or fabric, with brush or pastel in hand, her expression of life is a captivating experience. For Connie Robayo, personally, pleasure comes from the artistic process and from the opportunity to share the images and feelings expressed from the heart through her art.
