JACK NEWMAN
Boynton Beach, FL
My interest in art started long before I graduated from the New York School of Design. In fact I seem to remember holding a paintbrush before ever using a pacifier. I furthered my art studies at Pratt Institute and School of Visual Arts in New York. A number of important years were spent at the Art Students League of New York, studying with Joseph Rossi, Mario Cooper and Dale Meyers.
I became a book and magazine graphic designer. Eventually my career shifted to advertising, winning awards and spending many years as a Senior Art Director with one of the worlds leading advertising agencies. Now, living in Florida, I enjoy my time pursuing my serious passion, art. The flow of creative juices need no longer be hindered by some clients’ whim. I don't limit myself to any one medium, working in watercolor, acrylics, color pencil and kinetic sculptures of various other materials. I describe my work as in a modern realist style.
