SUSAN HARTNETT LUTZ
Prescott, AZ
As a child I was infinitely more fulfilled expressing myself in visual images rather than in words. Growing up in Chicago where the sky was always gray I was influenced by the bold colors of the Impressionists and Expressionists I observed at the Art Institute of Chicago.
I have a BA in Fine Art from Rosary College (now Dominican University) in River Forest, IL. Later in life I received a BFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. I have studied with artists: Robert E. Woods, George Post, Edward D. Walker, Gerald Brommer, Harold Brodie, and Dick Phillips. I have taught for 25 years in the public schools, been an Artist-in-Residence at Yosemite National Park for five summers, an Editorial Artist for the Modesto Bee Newspaper in Modesto, CA for 9 years, along with teaching high school art.
